Corporations Care More About Saving Green Than Going Green 5/16/17 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

The following is a rush transcript (May contain errors):

Monday while walking into a big-box superstore I noticed a sign that discussed how this company supports the planet and going green and all that environmental jazz. This led me to a thought that I’ve had for a while which I haven’t shared, but I want to now, and that is that the going green, the environmental movement is the single easiest way for a corporation to score some quick and easy positive P.R. it’s really an issue they cannot lose on. They can go promote that they care about saving energy, the planet, whatever, and who is gonna be against saving the planet? Is anyone anti-planet? No. So it’s a win-win situation for them. They gain positive P.R. and it’s a great marketing tool and at the same time, they save money by using less energy and becoming energy efficient. It’s a genius marketing move. Now, do the corporations actually believe in the green movement? Sure, some do. No doubt Starbucks does. Do I believe that most do? No. The corporations care about saving green, more than going green. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary
