Online Dating is Causing Dating Burnout for Some Singles 4/24/17 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

A lot of you are listening to this commentary after a long weekend of swiping, liking and replying on Tinder, Match.com or whatever dating app you use. Are you burned out with it yet? According to the UK Independent, some online dating users are feeling burned out from the entire process of online dating. The constant swiping through photos, sending text messages and emails, all the hours spent reading profiles, all of this effort before you even meet someone for dinner at Olive Garden. Let’s face it, online dating is time consuming and for some it can even be stressful as one person interviewed said they spent a whole night just replying back to texts on a dating app. People interviewed also said that because of the ease of swiping on to the next person, hoping to find someone better that they may be missing out on someone that they otherwise if they met in real life would date. Sometimes I wonder if technology has really been a positive for our society because it seems that in all areas of life, it’s just creating more stress and problems the easier it becomes to use and as far as dating goes, why not give the old fashion analog offline style a try and ask someone out in real life. Never know it might just work. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
